Escape Diaries: El Rio Adventura Cafe at San Rafael River Adventure

We went on a road trip last Saturday, April 23, 2022. It was a spur-of-the-moment idea from my friend who recently got her new car and lives nearby! It has been a while since I've had a friend who actually lived around Bulacan because I haven't got any close friends here since we moved from Manila. 😞 Anyway, she has showed me this new cafe and wanted to visit it and so we did.


El Rio Adventura Cafe is located inside San Rafael River Adventure. This is a newly built restaurant/cafe inside the resort. For non-guests, you have to make advance reservations since they only accept around 30 non-guests daily. But if you booked a villa inside San Rafael River adventure, then you're all good. They only allow non-guests until 7pm daily if I am not mistaken.


The view is picturesque, I won't lie. You can dine Al Fresco style but there's also an air-conditioned space but it's quite small and I honestly didn't like it so we decided to just dine outside and enjoy the view of the river. It's cooler outside too, plus you get to enjoy nature.


Food though is not really that promising I must admit. I kind of didn't like the Grilled Liempo I ordered. Though the presentation is nice, it's just like a normal meal you can order outside for a cheaper price. And since they're new, there are not that many options on the menu. I'm the kind of person who prefers to order food that I don't usually eat elsewhere but since there are only a few options, I've settled with the Grilled Liempo and Matcha Latte drink. Matcha drink is also blah, I've had better ones. 


I went with this one! Lol. What I love about this friendship is the spontaneity. Though this is 2 out of 3, we missed Michelle who resides in the south. 😆


Overall it was a good experience, we got to see what's inside San Rafael River Adventure in case we decide to book one of their cabins. The view is very very nice, it's really lovely to breathe fresh air on a weekend and just forget all the worries the past week has brought you.
