The Awkward Probinsyana

The past few days has always been a challenge for me. To be honest, I wanted to just run away from it all. I wanted a time for myself. I wanted to just care about myself for just a couple of days.

Anyway — good thing I have my blog as an escape. I haven’t done Sunday Currently in a while so here goes.

❤READING❤

I’m currently trying to finish We Are Okay (omg it has been in my reading list for a year already!) and already started with Sea of Strangers.

❤WRITING❤

Been drafting new blog entries. I already got my keyboard so now I have no excuse because I can actually start writing on my ipad. My lazy ass self can’t make any more excuses.

❤LISTENING & WATCHING❤

I’m making use of the new Picture in Picture feature of the new ipadOS so as I am typing this entry I am also watching FRIENDS (for the nth time). I started with the first season again please don’t judge me. This has always been my feel-good series!

❤THINKING❤

Of new content for my blog?? What should I post??

❤SMELLING❤

Nothing at the moment

❤WISHING❤

This pandemic will be all over soon. I can’t wait to go out and see my friends again.

❤HOPING❤

That I close all of my requirements as soon as I can without any concerns along the way. This will be the best Christmas Gift for myself because work has been really stressful and tiring these days, I want a peaceful and quiet Christmas. 💜

❤WEARING❤

My night overalls. I miss dressing up for work though.

❤LOVING❤

My new accessories, it makes life easier!

❤WANTING❤

To get those condenser microphones but I don’t know where to use it.

❤NEEDING❤

A peaceful, quiet time for myself!!!!!

❤FEELING❤

Anxious -- this is my default feeling these days.

❤CLICKING❤

News about the results of the US elections!

That’s it. Hopefully, I can be consistent in writing these series now that I have my own resources. Till next time!

How time flies! Can you believe we’re getting closer and closer towards the end of the year? 2020 has been terrible to some but I still see the brighter side of it. I missed doing a Life Lately post so here goes my 7th entry for this series.

  • Can’t believe I am actually doing this post using my new ipad 8th generation. To those who know me well, I rarely purchase updated gadgets because 1.) can’t afford it, not gonna lie 😅 and 2.) I don’t see the need to buy 1. But to be honest, I’ve always wanted an ipad and since the new ipad 10.2 8th generation fits the budget, I chose that one. 💛 Will do a quick review soon.
  • Shopee and Lazada! My new shopping buddies! Since COVID started, we rarely had the opportunity to go out. Thank God for online shopping. I need to stop this madness though! I’ve been buying a number of stuff lately.
  • We’re down to our 8th month or remote work. So far, I am learning to adjust! Problem is, do I still know how to commute once we are asked to go back? 😅
  • I’m now back to reading books! Hehe! Thanks again to my new gadget. I stopped reading books because whenever I used my phone, I just end up scrolling Tiktok!
Not much has happened lately, really. I just really wanted to try out this Keyboard and Mouse combo that I purchased in shopee! Hahaha. Not bad for the price.

Anyway — praying that I will find the energy to do a review of my ipad and all the accessories that I bought for it, please stay tuned! Also, should I start a youtube channel.? :)))

Til next time, xoxo.

I lost count on how long we’ve been staying at home because of COVID-19. I honestly thought this was just going to be like a few weeks thing when we started planning out the skeletal workforce scheme because of the rapid spread of the virus in Manila.

Anyway... 😆 Here's what I do to stay productive!

I start my day by checking my phone. Don't get me wrong though, my iPhone is connected to my company portal so all events and emails are synced. Normally, I start my day by checking my calendar to see if I have any scheduled meetings or interviews in order for me to manage my time wisely. I am guilty of being a procrastinator so I need to keep track of what important appointments that I have. Personally, aside from the calendar app, I also have a Weekly Task Tracker where I list down the tasks that I need to do for the day then I highlight all completed tasks. 💛

Here's a sample of a weekly desk planner:

Aside from listing down the things that I need to accomplish, I also need my daily caffeine fix. I can't function properly without my morning coffee! 💙😋

For my tasks, I categorize everything by priority. 💁 With my job in recruitment, it is important to prioritize tasks because there are too many administrative tasks aside from the actual recruitment process. When you're doing end to end recruitment, you need to understand the importance of prioritizing your work to avoid missing little details.

Remember to take breaks! 😊 I got into a point wherein the boundaries between work and home ultimately became thinner and thinner. That's why I've learned to take breaks from time to time. I make sure to complete the required number of hours at work then log off completely after hours. I turn off email and phone notifications. I put OOO alerts in my emails during weekends. Working from home doesn't mean you need to be available 24/7. Make sure to maintain boundaries. 💜

I also make time for my hobbies. 😀 I've acquired so many new hobbies when we started working remotely so I need to make sure that I am consistent this time. For example, I practice Ukulele during weekends and digital art after work for about an hour. Time management is the key. 👍

The important rule I guess is to take one day at a time. Write down your schedule and to-do list and make sure to follow it. 😅 I am also guilty of writing lists but just leave it around the corner, it took me a while to change those habits but it is possible! Don't pressure yourself, follow your own pace and do only the things that you can. 💜

Till next time!

What are podcasts? According to Wikipedia, a podcast is an episodic series of spoken word digital audio files that a user can download to a personal device for easy listening. Streaming applications and podcasting services provide a convenient and integrated way to manage a personal consumption queue across many podcast sources and playback devices. To be honest, I have no idea what podcasts are before I started to actually listen to them. And I loved it. 💜

Alright so for starters, the main platform that I use in streaming podcasts is Spotify. 💚 So these podcasts are all available for streaming in Spotify

I work in a company where remote work is actually not an option. Little did I know that I'll be working from home this year. In my previous company, there are instances that we are allowed to work remotely. Never have I imagined that I need to set up my own workspace at home because of this pandemic.

I think it was last March 16th when our leaders decided that we will be doing skeletal workforce because of the rising number of Covid-19 positive cases. I went home with only my laptop and left the rest of my items in the office. After that week, the government has decided to put the rest of the country in strict quarantine, thus extending our remote work. Our company established our own Covid Task Force that gives us updates on the situation for all sites. As of this writing, we will be working remotely until September.

At first, it was hard to adjust because you need to provide most of your basic needs to be able to work efficiently in this setup. For me, here are the basic essentials that I needed the most. 😃

Stable Internet Connection - if you are living in the Philippines like me, our internet connection being SLOW is an understatement. I have experienced a lot of downtime during the entire duration of this work from home setup. It's better to check which provider has the best signal for your area. If possible, avail a package that does not have data capping especially if you have kids who will be having online classes as well.

Most affordable wired internet starter plans in the Philippines ...

Desk / Computer Table and Proper Working Chair - believe me! Your back will thank you for it. Though I know sometimes we feel comfy working in our beds, I would suggest that you still set up your work area away from your bed. It also helps you create boundaries between work/school from your home. 🏡

Noice Cancelling Headset - TRUST ME THIS ONE IS A LIFESAVER. In our case, a complete set of tools was provided to us by the company but in case you don't have one -- invest in great pair of headset!

Hunting Accessories Noise Cancellation Headphone

For my role as a Talent Acqusition Specialist, there are the most essential tools. But of course, this will vary depending of what our tasks are. Despite of all the negativity and disease that is currently going on around the world, I am still grateful that I am employed, that I can support my family in this time.

I'll update this post every once in a while if there are new items or gadgets that I feel should be a part of this list.

Till next time

Hey, fairies! How have you been? It's been 4 months since I started working remotely because of the pandemic. There were a few business interruptions that happened along the way from our business requirements to new processes. We need to adapt to this new normal as our government would like to call it because it seems to me that the pandemic is not gonna end anytime soon unless they discover a vaccine to stop the spread. Anyway, let's get down to business!

  • Sorry I wasn't able to update much lately. But as you can see with my post headers, I trying to re-explore my creative side. I started working on some logos, even resumes of my friends! Hehe! If you can suggest any tools where I can practice more, feel free to comment down on this post.
  • My friend and I have been working on something together. Hoping in God's grace that we can complete this soon.
  • I've been (once again) in a dark place since an unfortunate event happened. I don't really want to go into details about it. That's also one of the reasons why I lost my enthusiasm for everything I do that makes me happy.
  • I started enjoying tiktok. Most of my content will be arts and crafting, or maybe even journaling.
  • I wanted to learn how to edit videos. What is a good editing tool for beginners?
I'm sorry I don't have so much to share for now. I am working on improving my content and myself. Please be patient with me. I know it has been years but I am grateful for everyone who are still here and believes in me. :)

Aloha fairies! How are you doing? I am not sure what day it is already since we started working from home as the new normal. Some businesses already reopened since the General Community Quarantine was implemented in the 1st of June. However, businesses reopening doesn't mean we are back to our normal lives since the Corona shit show started.

I am here to do a quick sanity check for everyone. I just wanna write about how I feel at the moment with all the crazy shenanigans happening all over the world and how I cope with this new normal thing that to be honest, I don't feel like I want this.

Since we started working from home, I tried several daily routines to find out which one works best for me. Being a morning person, usually, I start my day very early around 5:30AM or 6 AM. It really depends on what time I slept the night before. I take a shower, eat breakfast then start my day at 7am. I work from 7am until 4pm so I take a quick am break at 8am, lunch break either at 12nn or 1pm. Then after my WFH schedule, I pack up everything at 4pm. Rest for 30mins then do a quick 30mins work out. That's how it usually goes since this pandemic started.

Just like you, I always dread watching the news. I think having a daily routine kind of helped me in saving my sanity so I don't always have to be filled with stress and anxiety. All the violence and injustice breaks my heart, I cry for these people who are helpless in my prayers. What I do is that I jot down all my prayer items because my thoughts always tend to be messy. It helps me organize my thoughts.

I am okay though. ♡ Let us keep reminding ourselves how privileged we are during this time of crisis. Another thing I've learned is that kindness goes a long long way. ♡ Especially now that many people are suffering. We are all equal in the eyes of God ♡ It should never be about your color, religion, gender identity, or whatever. ♡

I'm still here, 29 and in quarantine. ♡ I celebrated my birthday last month. I feel so blessed & loved.

That's all for now. Keep safe & sane! ♡

We're down to the last few days of the Enhanced Community Quarantine. Here in Bulacan, we're transitioning slowly to General Community Quarantine. It is less strict than ECQ I guess? Social Distancing will still be practiced but most (if not all) businesses will be allowed to reopen soon. Mass transportation will be allowed but still to practice social distancing of course. Most restaurants will reopen but only for takeaways. Malls will partially open. Basically, in the coming days, we'll be transitioning to the "new normal". 😊

The past months have been challenging especially to people like us who are used to going out for work. On top of that, while Metro Manila residents still enjoy hassle-free online shopping and deliveries, people from the provinces (like moi) don't have that kind of perk. So when Shopee resumed their operations last April 30 for all locations, I just got super excited and ordered some things I want for my birthday. 😍 yup! no boyfriend no problem, I can pay for it myself. 👸 just kidding! 😂 Wanna share some of the things I ordered via Shopee & will link you directly to the items in case you wanna buy. 😊

Instax Films

I promised myself that I will take more instax photos! I can't wait to see my friends again and take more pictures. 💙 I was cleaning up my memory box when I saw a bunch of Instax photos over the years and I realized how pretty it is to look at. So the moment I can celebrate with the people I love again, I'll definitely take a lot of pictures. 💜

Ukulele

I have always wanted to learn how to play a string instrument. *coughs* guitar *coughs*. I had a guitar way back but never really got the chance to focus on it. A little back story, I bought it to impress someone way back but the eagerness to learn is genuine. Hahaha! 😂 Anyway, thought it might be easier to start with a Ukulele and finally!!!! Because of quarantine boredom (despite hiring reqs hihi) I am finally convinced to buy one, and oh yes it's pink! 💕

Instax Accessories

Instax Bag || Close Up Lens

After 5 years, I finally bought accessories for my Instax. Hahaha! 😂 My instax mini 8 has been with me for more or less 5 happy years already and I just kept her in a regular bunny bag. FINALLY purchased an actual instax bag and a close up lens for my baby! 😘

I rarely splurge on Online Shopping tbh but let's just say that this serves as a treat for myself for surviving those hardest years of my life. HAHAHA Well, it's just a birthday treat. No biggie! 💜

It's gonna be MAY! 💜 Taurus season! ♉ and my birth month 💕 There are so many good things about May but then tragedies keep on happening this year and I don't even know what to say. 😕 Anyway, just to get my mind off the crazy and focus only on the good things, I've decided to just update my blog with all my home shenanigans. ❤
  • So happy that even though the ECQ here in PH was extended until the 15th, I can finally order online again. Since we're outside MM, deliveries were put on hold and we can't place any order. Happy that it's fully functional again. 💕
  • Speaking of online shopping, I ordered several nOn-EsSenTial 😅 items.
  • I wanted to take more instant camera pictures so I ordered Instax Films!
  • And to finally cross off one item on my BL, I ordered a Ukulele. 😅 not to mention I also ordered a Paperang for journaling purposes.
  • I've been binging so much in KDRAMA, the last one I watched was A World of Married Couple. Still an ongoing series but the plot is so crazy good.
In a few weeks, I'll be turning a year older. Hopefully wiser! I'll be back to update you on my birthday ganap in case the ecq will be lifted by then.

Ria

We're ending April in quarantine! 😞 How time flies. It's been 2 months that we're in quarantine. I am not really the outdoor type of person but there are some activities that I really do miss a lot. 😞 As we all know, even after the Enhanced Community Quarantine is lifted, we will still follow a "new normal". But what is a new normal, really?

The new normal basically aims to ensure that we still practice social distancing until we have defeated this virus. For example, when we return to work in our offices they suggest that we follow a skeletal workforce system. Although for us, we will be working remotely until the 31st of May for now and we're still waiting for further advice.

I guess that means more themed zoom meetings for us! It is quite a challenge for someone like me who hates video conferences. 😕 Never in my life have I thought that I will be at home all day while working. 💁 For me, the new normal in my home town feels like 1997. Less transportation, cleaner air, peaceful surroundings. While writing this I can finally hear the birds chirping again after a while. No malls to go to so little Ria is stuck at home.

What's sad about this though is I must admit I am also the type to bail out on my friends the last minute. But now I really do miss them a lot and the new normal will not allow us to loiter in the wee hours of the morning anymore. Who knows, since we are now in different companies maybe we will also have different schedules. The lesson from this entire shenanigan is to never take anything and anyone for granted.

I really pray that this all ends soon. I miss the usual routine except for EDSA traffic.
I hope everyone's doing well. After this, I hope we can all finally hug our loved ones.

Ria <3

A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep
In dreams, you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for you keep

I think I now believe in Cinderella that dreams are little wishes that our heart makes. 💗 And why did I suddenly want to write about dreams? 😶 To be honest, I have recurrent dreams of a person (I will not say who) but this is definitely somebody I know and we go way back. LIKE WAY WAY BACK. 😆 Anyway, I always dream about this person and surprisingly, dreams with him on it are by far the best dreams I have 😆 and then I got curious as to what these dreams meant so I googled. 😅

I don't really want to give a hint about who this person is. 😅 But just in case my 2019 crush accidentally sees this, this is definitely not you just to be clear. 😅 Okay, so this is a recurring dream that I've been having for so long. I usually share my dreams with my best friend but since she's married now, I am not 100% certain that she's still interested in my ramblings about this person. My dreams are usually about us just being our authentic selves, usually in my old Manila neighborhood. He's welcomed (now you know the person is a he) by my family, usually by my mom. Then that's it. The focus of the dream is on him and on us. Most of the time, I don't remember the rest of the dream when I wake up. All I can remember is that I was with him.

courtesy of: https://dreamingandsleeping.com/why-do-i-keep-dreaming-about-the-same-person/
Can we just highlight that recurring dreams about the same person can be extremely difficult especially if I want to really forget about this person?? 💔 Just kidding, I just want to keep him in my dreams forever. It's just weird because I don't really think about this person that much already since it has been years, yet he still appears like a ghost in my past that won't seem to die. 😪

How about you guys? Are you having recurring dreams too?

Let's talk about it! ♡

Hello magical girls! ♡ I actually don't know what day we are in already in this entire quarantine situation. I've been working remotely for more than a month already and a lot of the rules have changed since then. Since the start of the week, our community here in Bulacan is only allowed to go out for grocery runs for one day and only the household head can go out. Yup! Challenging times. 😟 Anyway, since the whole Covid-19 mess started, I was able to catch up on a lot of things especially my Netflix series! I am such a slow ass kid when it comes to catching up with tv shows, I'm not a binge-watcher like most people are. No matter how good a series is, I get bored after a max of four 1-hour long episodes. Can you believe it took me more than a month to finish Crash Landing On You? 😅 Anyway, I'll make a list of series that I am currently watching and/or have already finised in this post. ♡ No more long descriptions cause I suck in explaining a plot. 😅
  1. Series: Jesus Code
  2. Series: How I Met Your Mother
  3. Series: You [I know right, still trying to finish season 2 but it's so good I wonder why I can't binge 😓]
  4. Studio Ghibli: When Marnie Was There
  5. Studio Ghibli: My Neighbor Totoro
  6. Studio Ghibli: Spirited Away [I've seen this even before they had this in Netflix and it's so good I don't mind watching this over and over again ♡]
  7. Series: The Big Bang Theory
  8. Series: FRIENDS [thankful that we still have it in Netflix PH. I watch this everytime I am sad and that means everyday]
  9. Movie: All The Bright Places
  10. Movie: Love Wedding Repeat
I know there's so much more! Let's save it for the next post in this series ♡
How about you? What's your favorite Netflix series/movies? ♡ Hope you can also share it with me in the comment section.

How will I remember the year 2020? We're not even halfway yet but there's so much that has been going on. Despite all of it, let's still remember our small victories just to take our minds off the dilemma that we are all facing.

When we started the community lockdown, actually 2 days before the announcement our company has already decided to do a skeletal workforce system. For us, what's supposed to happen is that we are provided a new schedule for the days where we are expected to be in the office but since then the Covid-19 cases in the Philippines worsen so the CEO has decided that it is safer for everyone to just do remote work. 😊 I was so grateful since I am always at risk due to my commute. Imagine riding a full packed bus to work, how do I protect myself from that? 😐 During that time when they have finalized the decision, I still have a lot of tasks to do so I still carried on with my usual work routine. However, in just a span of 2 weeks, the situation seems to have taken a toll in the global economy so were advised to hold everything off and just make sure to keep the people that we have within the company. Another thing that I have faced during this entire quarantine situation is some employees are not confident that their colleagues are actually working from home since they can't monitor each other. In my opinion, this is not the right time for office politics, this is the time where we should be working together. 🙅

Going back, since we don't have much to do for work right now I have decided to finally purchase theawkwardprobinsyana.com. Just a bit of a history here, I was theawkwardprobinsyana in tumblr since 2009/2010 if I am not mistaken. I've had a lot of usernames just like everyone else but I think TAP is what has made me who I am as a blogger. 💛 I've attended Tumblr meet-ups way back as The Awkward Probinsyana. If there's one positive effect of Covid-19 in my life then this will be it. Reigniting my passion for blogging & writing.

I don't know how much longer I can carry on with this entire situation. Still grateful though that I get to earn my normal salary despite just lounging in front of my work desk. 💙 Every time I watch the news and see people suffering daily because of the pandemic, it really makes me sad. 😖 How I really wish that everything will end soon.

How about you? How are you guys holding up?
I am hoping and praying for everyone's safety. It starts within us you know? I know this is really difficult but if it's not really important, let's just stay home ok? 💚 If we are able, let us continue to provide support to our less fortunate brothers and sisters. We can get through this as one family. 💜

I love you all my dear fairies.

It's only the fourth month of the year but I know all of us are already tired of the surprises that 2020 brought along. A global pandemic 😷, natural disasters -- name it, we faced it this year and we're not even close to the first half of the year. 💔

I just wanted to remember that despite everything that is happening, good things are still bound to happen. 💛 After all, we're still fortunate to wake up each day and see new hope. 🌞

Coronavirus has slowed down a lot of things since its outbreak. On a positive note, it gave time to pause a little from the fast-paced corporate that I've been tolerating for 7 years now. 😌 I just wanna reflect on a few good things that has been happening in my life and still be thankful. 💛
  • I've reclaimed the throne; www.theawkwardprobinsyana.com is back. 👸 I already planned to purchase the domain back in 2017 but kept on postponing but since I have more time in my hands right now, I've decided to finally purchase it.
  • It's finally APRIL my second favorite month of the year. 💙 Yeah, I know. I'm always abnormally sad during the Aries season but I've lived with it for a couple of years so I'm not bothered anymore. 💚 I can't wait to binge-watch all the best friend movie cliches on the 5th of April. 👫💕
  • I'm grateful to be with my family during this entire quarantine scenario. 😌 When the numbers of the infected of the virus in the Philippines started to rise, I am secretly scared that I'll be stuck in Manila with no place to go. Luckily, I was already one of the few who were allowed to work remotely before the government decided to lock the city down. 😌
  • With that said, I am grateful for the privilege that I have. 💖 Not everyone has the luxury to work comfortably in their own homes. 😭 Let us continuously pray for those who have lost their livelihood during this pandemic. May they find comfort at this trying times and receive the help that they needed.

" If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. " - 2 Chronicles 7:14

I pray that this will be all over soon & we'll finally be able to hug our families and friends once again. I pray that all our frontliners -- everyone who works hard to fight with the virus. 💗 We can overcome all adversities if we work together and pray together. 😊

Much Love,

Ria ❤

3rd Week of the Enhanced Community Quarantine here in Luzon. I can't think of anything else to do other than to update my blog. I just finished Crash Landing On You and my love for KDrama was revived by it. Since I am bored, I have decided to add a new tab, Watch List 📺. For this one, I'll be recommending a few KDramas that I've seen from 1st episode to the last that I won't mind watching again. 😊

Title: Full House
Year: 2004
Main Cast: Rain / Song Hye Kyo
Kilig Factor: 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I have seen this Kdrama first way back 2005, this was also aired in GMA on the same year. So okay, one thing you should learn about me is that I cry whenever I feel giddy and imagine the number of times I cried over this KDrama. I love the lightness the Song Hye Kyo's character Han Ji Eun brought to this drama. My favorite part of this entire series is that moment, Lee Young Jae (Rain) went to Magic Land on Ji Eun's birthday secretly but ended up being mauled by his fans because Ji Eun wasn't there. 😆 Also, that time when he brought Ji Eun flowers because she hasn't receive any her entire life. AAAAAAAAAAAH, the feels. 💛 This Kdrama is available on Netflix and guess what, I am watching this one again. 💚

Title: Wonderful Life
Year: 2005
Main Cast: Kim Jae Won / Eugene / Jung Da Bin
Kilig Factor: 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

This Kdrama is one of those kdramas that made me cry the most. If you haven't seen this one, this kdrama is worth your time. Though this is also one of those KDramas that I prefer the supporting actor more than the main actor. What is it about? HMMM 😎 Well it's about 2 strangers, meeting coincidentally, hang out, then bam! A baby! 😅 But there's is so much more to this KDrama than just one night stand. 😊 Go see it, this is definitely worth it. 😁💚

Title: My Lovely Sam Soon / My Name Is Kim Sam Soon
Year: 2005
Main Cast: Hyun Bin / Kim Sun Ah
Kilig Factor: 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Alright you kids, I know you loved Captain Ri but have you seen him as Jin Hyeon in My Lovely Sam Soon? If you haven't yet, YOU MUST WATCH THIS. 💚 I remember being called Sam Soon back in High School because of my high school crush who kind of have a little resemblance to Hyun Bin but yup yeah, forget it. Kilig factor should be 101 over 10, 💛😘 I don't know why but I really have this thing for main actors who keeps their feelings! 😊😊 And please do take note of how cute Hyun Bin is everytime he smirks 😏 Ahhh, my heart. 💚

Title: Goong [Princess Hours]
Year: 2006
Main Cast: Ju Ji Hoon / Yoon Eun Hye
Kilig Factor: 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I know kids, he's also the Crown Prince from Kingdom! Back in high school, Ji Hoon kinda looked like somebody I know. I have also seen this KDrama several times (well once sans skipping the palace parts 😅). This also made me cry so much! 😢 This may look like your typical high school-arrange marriage-rags to palace kind of story but it's so cute, i can't even explain how much I enjoyed watching this. 💛 So if you kids wanna know how the Titas knew Ju Ji Hoon, this kdrama can explain. 😆

Alright, so these four are my favorites back in the day. There is still more to share. This Tita from the KDrama community will be honored to share the rest that I can remember on this blog, I'll also be sharing my thoughts on the new ones that I've recently completed.

Much Love,
Ria 💙

I've been meaning to share about the books that I have finished. Please bear with me as I am not an expert in the field of "book review". 😅 This is just intended to be a book recommendation for those who are looking for something to read. 👩

Title: Girl In Pieces
Author: Kathleen Glasgow
My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Trigger warning! There are sensitive issues in this book. Well to be honest, I, myself was going through a difficult time when I got this book. It's a good read as long as you know how to separate reality from fiction. The main character here has experienced so much in her life at such a young age. From losing her parents, her best friend, and eventually her will to live. This is way too much to handle for someone her age. What I love about this book is to see her heal in the process. It's something that we all wanted and deserves, a chance to heal and find a new meaning to life.

Overall, I think it is a good read. I like it and would recommend this to anyone who's looking for something to read right now especially at this time that we all have to stay home. But again, TRIGGER WARNING ❗❗❗

To anyone who is currently in a dark season of their lives, there's always hope. 💗 There are still days when things can get really really bad but trust me, everything will pass. 💓

Yay! I am so happy that I was finally able to start this series. 😅 After so many years! 😆 I hope I can be consistent this time.

XO,
Ria

How's everyone holding up? How're your 2020 guys? I know!!!! This year surprised us so much and is still surprising us. I can't even with this year anymore but one good thing about 2020 is that, it gave me time to open my blog and share my thoughts. I'll be sharing it in bullets so as not to confuse you with my scattered thought processing.
  • It's the 3rd week of the community quarantine here in the Philippines. COVID-19 shocked the world with it's growing number of cases and death. Please STAY AT HOME if you can. I know we can all get through this disease as one with prayers and safety measures of course.
  • Having said that, it's also the 3rd week of our work from home setup. Do I miss the office? Yes! Do I miss my daily commute? Hell no. 😎
  • We've planned a few trips ahead and sad to say most of it won't push through. I haven't seen my friends in a while and I really miss them all. 👭👬👯
  • I started learning how to sew, I have always wanted to do that. Just one of the Tita things that I have always wanted to learn and the stay at home measures gave me the opportunity to do so.
  • I started doing Muay Thai for workouts but sad to say that I stopped for a while due to the ongoing quarantine. I promise to be consistent once the protocol has been lifted.
  • I have finished several series in Netflix! Finished Kingdom the fastest cause it's sooooo good, I definitely recommend it! 💻
  • I wanted to do a prayer VLOG/BLOG but I am not really good at it. I just wanna get back on my spiritual life but still don't know how to start. I will definitely figure this one out.
  • Since I have no interesting shenanigans lately, I wanna get back into creative writing. I've done it years ago but I just stopped and I don't know why. I need my creative juices back.
  • I'm super excited about something, I've been pinning ideas from Pinterest and I can't wait to share everything once it's all done.🏠
  • 2020 is the year I'm turning 29 then I have one whole year to turn my life around before I turn the big three zero. Praying for the best. 💙
I guess that's it for this episode of the quarantined life. Tune in next time for more boring shenanigans in my life. Just kidding! I have a few ideas in my mind and I might as well update this blog as often as I can now that I have the time. Love you and always be kind and magical. 💖

So, what the hell is going on with my life at this point?

We're already on the second month of the new year and still, this is the first post that I am going to share for 2020. I can't think of any shenanigans that I can share to have this post in bullets. But so far, everything is going steady. Well, I got pissed a lot more times this February and I won't share anything about it here cause there are lurkers all around and I don't wanna bother explaining to anyone I am not even close with.

I am thinking of doing Muay Thai and more physical activities this year. Also, due to the flooding number of requirements that I am currently handling, I haven't even started on writing my 30 before fucking 30 list but Muay Thai is def one of those. I also wanted to try to climb at least one goddamn mountain before I turn 30 and not just drown in the misery of being a recruiter. There's also a number of weddings this year that I have been invited to. Kind of excited for these people that I love dearly! 💚 2020 is definitely a year of love for my friends and family and I am truly excited for them 💛

And oh, did I tell you that I told this dude that I like(d) him. Yup, pretty much the highlight of 2019 💙 One of 30 before 30 list already ticked off even before I started writing it. Not a fucking happy ending though, wake up guys this isn't a fairy tale. 😆

That's all I have for now. Hopefully something magical will happen soon so I have more things to share. 💙
